What a full mouth restoration costs in Albania in 2026

«Rebuilding all my teeth» is one of the most common searches among European patients considering treatment in Albania. It is also one of the hardest questions to answer with a single number, because the same phrase covers very different clinical situations.

This article sets out the real options, what genuinely drives the final cost, and the indicative figures to expect. The prices here are the same ones published on our price list: starting points, not quotes.

What «rebuilding all your teeth» actually means

In clinical practice the phrase covers at least three different situations. Some patients still have most of their own teeth but compromised by decay, fractures or old restorations, and need extensive prosthetic work. Others have lost most of their teeth and are considering a fixed rehabilitation on implants. And some already wear a removable denture and want something stable.

The cost changes radically between these scenarios, which is why nobody can give you a reliable figure without seeing at least a panoramic X-ray. Be wary of anyone quoting a final price before looking at a radiograph.

The options, in order of complexity

Each solution answers a specific bone and clinical situation. They are not interchangeable alternatives to be picked on price alone: the surgeon decides after the CBCT scan.

  • Crowns on natural teeth — when the roots are salvageable and only the visible part needs rebuilding.
  • Single implants with a crown — to replace one or more missing teeth without touching the neighbours.
  • All-on-4 — a full fixed arch on four implants, often without a bone graft.
  • All-on-6 — the same principle on six implants, when the available bone allows it.
  • Overdenture — a removable prosthesis anchored to implants: stable, but taken out for cleaning.
  • Traditional removable denture — the least demanding option, surgically and financially.

What actually drives the quote

The number of implants is the most visible line, but rarely the only one. The material of the final prosthetic structure matters a great deal, as does the need for preliminary extractions and any bone graft or sinus lift where volume is insufficient.

A second factor is routinely underestimated: the number of arches. Most price comparisons online show the cost of a single arch. If your case needs both, the surgery and the prosthetic material double, and so does the quote.

Finally there are the costs that have nothing to do with your mouth: flights, accommodation and transfers. Budget for them from the start, because across two trips they add up to a non-trivial share of the total.

How many trips and how many days

Any rehabilitation involving implants requires two trips, separated by the osseointegration period: bone has to grow around the implant surface before the final prosthesis can be loaded. That is typically three to six months, during which you are back home with a fixed temporary.

The first stay for a full arch normally runs five to seven days: CBCT scan, any extractions, surgery, temporary and a post-operative check. The second, for impressions, try-ins and delivery, takes four to six.

Rehabilitations without surgery — a set of crowns on natural teeth, for instance — are often completed in a single trip of five to seven days.

What a «from» price does not include

An indicative price almost always refers to a single element or a single arch, in the most straightforward configuration. It excludes the additional procedures that only emerge after the scan: grafts, sinus lifts, complex extractions, gum treatment.

It also excludes preparatory care. If there is an active infection or periodontal disease to treat, that comes first: building a rehabilitation on an unsound foundation puts its longevity at risk. It is one reason a serious treatment plan sometimes starts more slowly than patients expect.

How to get a quote you can rely on

Very little is needed: a recent panoramic X-ray, a few photos of your teeth and a description of what is bothering you. With those, our doctors can tell you whether the route is prosthetic or implant-based, how many elements are involved and how many days the work takes.

The quote you receive before travelling remains indicative: the final confirmation comes after the examination and CBCT scan at the clinic, because that is where the bone is actually visible. What you can insist on is that every line is written down and explained, and that nothing appears as a surprise once you arrive.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The surgery on one arch is performed in a single session, but the complete path requires two trips, because the osseointegration period has to pass between placing the implants and fitting the final prosthesis. A set of crowns on natural teeth, by contrast, is usually completed in one stay.
